The above, generic diagram is Not to be mistaken for what is commonly seen as the Hegelian Dialectic:

That is, merely: Thesis + Antithesis = Synthesis  

However
Rather, it displays a process of the highly-complex experiences we each have in our daily imaginations.

As in Carl Jung's extensive research resulting from the synergy or union of any two categorical opposites. 

Which he reconstituted from the ancient, alchemical process called, Coincidencia Oppositorum.

Meanwhile, for our purposes, it is entirely possible to do this ON PURPOSE.

Examples could be things like:

1) Woman + Man = Androgyne

2) Black + White = Gray

3) Positive + Negative = Neutral 

Or more elaborate and experimental and, therefore personal-choice/subjective, combinations like:

1) Heart-Intelligence + Head-Intellect = Consciousness (or Agency or 3rd Eye or Imagination, etc.).

All depending on how you, yourself look at it.

2) "Citizen" + Psychological-Self = Socio-Cultural Orientation

This triangle also displays how a Duplicity of any polarity, that is, interchangeable variables (Success//Failure; Feminine//Masculine or -1//+1), opens the heart-mind to the unknown realm for potent surprises and the unexpected journey. This renewed access to a certain Fertile Void (indicated here as a heart-shaped zero) is simply the sum and result of committed personal exploration, practical comparison and the Self-governance acquired in this process. By inserting one’s own variables, that is, in exploring one’s concepts, terms, sensate reactions and psychic adventures, and while protected from countervailing biases that second guess our findings, we refine or reconfigure our sense-ratios and eventually become self-reliant, self-determinate and exquisite  beings. 

 

Remembering that perfect symmetry doesn’t occur in Nature and would, therefore, be diabolical, this triangle represents far more than it would seem.

For one, it is not static and unmoving, but rather variable and fluctuating.

Like scales, it is a moving symbol. It might, in appearance, seem an over-simple, unmovable symmetry. But, it is intended (as is Beauty & the Yin/Yang symbol) as a moving asymmetrical, swaying schematic of interplay and interweaving. Alternating between two specific sources, to be witnessed in real-time and embodied experience.

 

​​​​​​It has been said that there is an invisible, always-moving and balancing symmetry innate to all forms in the universe and that Beauty is the result of this hidden activity. Only when a thing seduces through it’s mystery and truth for an individual, does it signify an allocation of The Beautiful.

 

In our current era, it is easy to be distracted by societal "norms", personal stress and managing our lives.

Meanwhile, beholding Beauty ON PURPOSE, as a habit or “practice” is only a matter of doing so consciously.

Anything you want, do it ON PURPOSE.
